New Year, New Single & New Video

Hello, Welcome, and Happy New Year!!
First, I hope 2011 brings good health and happiness to all of you because really, health and happiness are the greatest gifts of all.

Ah yes, 2011.. I am excited when I think about a new year and all of the possibilities. There will be new adventures, new memories to be made and of course new music.. lots of new music!

On the subject of music, available now on itunes is the first single from my upcoming CD, "Common Man",and I am uploading the video to youtube as I write this blog.

The song is a mid tempo blues tune called "Turn It All Around", and its one of my first attempts at featuring the Stick in a singer/ songwriter type of vibe.

It was originally electric blues that made me want to be a musician so this tune is a bit of a return to those roots. The lyrics are a story of redemption, of falling down, getting back up and being able to learn from mistakes made in life.

The song and video are at www.kevinkeith.com so please visit the site and I hope you enjoy it.

Also available now from Stick Enterprises (www.stick.com) is the new DVD "Stick Night Live". The DVD features live performance footage of nine different Stick artist including myself playing an early version of my single and doing a solo funk improv version of "Avenida Atlantica" from my first CD "The EP".

There are some amazing performances on that DVD and I am honored that (Stick inventor) Emmett Chapman invited me to be a part of it. It was so cool to share such an incredible experience with so many of my long time Stick friends. Be sure to check this out.

In less than two weeks I will be at the NAMM music convention in Anaheim, California. I will not be performing this year but I am hoping to meet with many friends that I have met online over the years.

I love music trade shows.
Musicians, technology and a ton of creative energy!
As I have said before, I love being a musician.

I'll keep this blog a bit shorter than the rest so until next time, Happy 2011, thanks for your support and thanks so much for reading.
